~ When Corbin and Colt were wrapping one of my presents Corbin asked Colt "Is that a ring for mom?" Colt answered with a simple no (it was my ipod). Corbin replied "Oh, you know, every kiss begins with K."
~ Corbin saw a car on TV and informed me that it was "a car you can't ignore".
In case you couldn't tell our little Corbin memorizes commercials. There was one more that he did but I can't remember it right now. If I ever do I'll get it on here. He makes us laugh constantly.

First Day
I think our first day in our new calling went pretty well. At first we only had one boy, I was wondering how that was going to go?? Finally, at ten after, two more boys strolled in. I was really surprised at how "bouncy" they were, couldn't keep their bums in their seats. But, again, I've never taught 7 year olds before so I don't really know how they are.
The lesson went well, I was impressed at how into it they were. Before we headed back to the primary room for Sharing/Singing time Colt taught them a hand shake. He warned them that if they didn't know it they wouldn't be able to get into the class room next week and they'd have to sit in the hall during the lesson. It was funny watching them, even Colt. Then during sharing time two of them were practicing the hand shake. I guess they rather listen to a lesson then sit out in the hall on the floor. ;) That's a good sign.
Of course they asked if they get treats. It bugs me that they expect treats but I've decided I've got to know that sometimes they're needed. If anyone has any ideas of how I can implement treats into our class without them expecting them every week please let me know.
In our last ward we had a friend, Cori Reed, who would put treats into a jar and set the jar on the table. During class if they were not reverent she would move the jar down from the table to the chair and so on. If it reached the floor they didn't get a treat and it didn't move back up. At the end of class if the jar was on the floor the got nothing, on the chair they got two treats, on the table four... or something like that. I think that's what we'll try next week. And it'd be little treats like starburst, jolly ranchers, tootsie rolls, etc.
If anyone has any other ideas I would gladly take them!! It's going to be a great calling, we love it so far!!

*Memories*
I just have to say how wonderful my babies are - though they aren't really babies anymore. Corbin is amazing. Since he's known he's going to have another baby to "take care of" he's been so willing to take care of Marley - most recently getting her out of the tub and take care of the tub toys. He's just grown so much these past few weeks.
Marley has been doing so well, too. You've probably noticed I haven't posted any Marley-isms this year. There's a reason, or maybe two. My theories are a) she's doing better and b) so am I. I've learned to keep certain things picked up. I guess that means I'm growing, too.
A big milestone is that Marley's binky is now gone. We lost her last one on Tuesday and there are "no more", we tell her. She has done extremely well and has quit asking for it. This has also caused her to talk much more. I know, I didn't think this was possible, but it is. She's using more words and less of her jibber jabber.
Last night the four of us sat on our bed and played UNO together. This is a game that we, in the past couple of months, have started playing with Corbin (a big people game that we don't have to help him with... too much) and it has been so fun. I think he appreciates being treated like a big person. Last night Colt helped Marley and she did awesome, winning one of two games. (I of course one the other. ;) She did great at finding the matching the cards in her hand (all by herself), Colt only had to help with the number and wild parts. It was a fun night.
As some of you know Colt and I have a couple of new callings. My first one is I'm an official for the stake Young Womens sports. Scary!! Basketball is the first sport and I was so scared, I don't know how to call fouls!! Luckily my first game is over, Colt said I'm not loud enough. Weird, huh? I don't believe I've ever been told that before! I need to practice blowing the whistle and luckily I'm pared up with ladies who know what they're doing.
Last week (my first game) didn't go so well. As some of you know this pregnancy has kicked my bum, I've never been this sick. Well, running up and down the court didn't help me any. Luckily Sarah, the other gal, was nice enough to do most of the running. I got home and ended up in bed for the rest of the night, my stomach was so not good. Our games last night were cancelled, thankfully. So I've got a week to get my stomach a little more settled and strong. I like the idea of this calling, I just wish I could enjoy it more. In a month or so it will be awesome!
Next Colt and I are the new Primary teachers for the 7/8 year olds. We missed our first Sunday last week because we were at my great nieces baby blessing so this Sunday will be our first offical day. We're so excited. This will be especially fun since Colt has NEVER been in Primary. He's so excited, we're already "fighting" over who gets to teach the lessons. ;) We're both excited and most happily the lessons are SIMPLE. Choosing the Right, that's what this lesson is on. It makes me so happy. I'll keep you updated on that, not that there will be a whole lot to say, but I'll say what I need to.
Now it's time to go relax. Colt is asleep on the couch (I'm so jealous!) and the kids are in CJ's room playing. (Seriously, great kids!!) I guess I'll go finish watching Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Dumb I know, just one of those goofy movies I tvoed.
Love to my family and friends. I hope you are all surviving this cold weather. And for those of you who are in warmer places, I'M JEALOUS!!! Love you tons...

Baby K #3
Corbin is so excited for another baby. For the past few weeks he's been insisting that there are two. A girl for Marley and a boy for him. After our last miscarriage and our conversation with Bob (Colts Dad... who has twin sisters...) the thought of twins has been heavy on my mind. However, I am pleased to inform you that on Monday - Jan 7th - I had my first ultrasound and there is indeed just one little bub.
Marley is excited too. She remembers Brittany being pregnant (I think) and lifts up my shirt to say hi to the baby. I remember Corbin doing the same with Marley. Cute!!
In this picture the baby is upside down. The round white dot is the head and the bigger one up top is the chest/belly. Off to the right there is a tiny white line... that is an arm.
My doctor called today (10th) and said that everything in the ultrasounds looked good and healthy. Baby's heart beat was 180... whatever that means. So far so good, yea!
Due date is August 14th. (Leslies b-day!)

Jan 1, 2008 ~ Happy New Year ~
2008 started out Great!! I met my parents and oldest brother, James, at Dennys for breakfast. (a funny family tradition... my family was just barely getting out of bed so they stayed home)
Then - with my family - we headed over to James' house for a visit. What started as a small "hello" turned into a full day of fun. James made us lunch and then they took us down to a pond/ice rink just around the corner from their house. James has made a race track as well as a rink to just skate.
Corbin hasn't skated for almost a year at the neigborhood rink by our old house. He didn't like it then so I didn't figure he'd like it this year. However, he did awesome!! When Uncle James helped him down the snow bank he just took off running. He fell many times but eventually learned how to work the blades on the ice. (Thanks heavens Aunt DeAnna had the double bladed ice skates.)
James' dog - Otis - was a great sport. He pulled the kids around the track in the sled. James convinced me to get in, too. I didn't think Otis could pull me but boy did he prove me wrong. The theory is if he can "take you out" with just a firm "bump" he can pull you on the ice. I'm glad I didn't kill him. ;)
We had a fun time. Then when the kids got too cold we went back to their house for games and hot chocolate. It was fun watching James play CatchPhrase. Thanks guys, for a fun New Years Day!!!

James making sure Otis is still doing good.
Seriously - good dog!! He was just as excited to go home as the rest of us.

S*N*O*W
Christmas in SL
We had a good day down in SL with Grandma and Grandpa. We went and spent a little bit of time with Sharlenes Dad (we haven't seen him in a while, it was good to see him doing so well), spent time opening presents, visiting and eating. What a good day.
The kids each got clothes from G & G Kierstead. I love Marleys little outfit. And Corbin - of course - loved his dino shirts.
Christmas Day
Colt and I haven't shared a picture together in a while and HE thought we should give it a try.
Man we're close.
They had a lot of fun even though it was FREEZING outside.
How did Santa know??
Look at the snow across the street. We didn't have much snow on Christmas... it eventually came.
My cute little girl!! I love this pic, too!
My FAVORITE pictures!!
These pictures are probably my favorites or pretty close to date.
First of all, I love (in the top one) how Bubba gets close to his sis and how she tries to get her hands in her pocket to be like Bub. And look at their faces... SO HAPPY!!
In these pics (and anytime Corbin wears black with levi) he reminds me of YOU. Look how his hands are in his pockets and his boots. He looks like you, dresses like you, and even holds himself like you. He IS a mini YOU.
We all miss you TONS!!
Christmas Pictures ~ Finally!!
Merry Christmas! I realize it's taken me a LONG time to post, but better late then never!
We had a wonderful - busy - Christmas holidays. We hope you all had the same... at least the wonderful part.
We had to wake the kids up, how nice!!
Marley was giving Bubba good morning kisses, what a sis!
Dazed and confused but slowly getting excited.

"Contestants ready?... Gladiators ready?..."
Thats right, American Gladiators is back, baby!!
Yes I am a spaz, but I love that show! I grew up watching it with my Daddy on Saturday mornings. Just one of those things. Colt and I have been looking forward to it since first seeing the commercials for it a couple of months ago. What a fun night. It was still cheesy like the last one but it's still great watching them go at it. Fun, fun.
If you haven't watched it yet it's on tonight (Monday - normal nights) at 8:00 - I think - channel 5/NBC.
Well Marley is getting mad because she wants to look at baby Brooklyn again so I'd better go.
Love you all.......

I'm so behind.
I realize I have so much catching up to do and I'm excited to do it, too!! (Colt is reminding me daily, too.) I've got a bunch of pictures I can't wait to share, just haven't been feeling up to doing it yet. However, I've got to say I love this time of year. Despite the nasty weather (it's not so much fun when the holidays are over) it's a great time in the football season. We're winding down and it's playoff time, I love football!! (Thanks Daddy, for teaching me correctly. *kiss, kiss*) GO COLTS!!!
It's great (and sometimes embarrassing) when I hear my five year old boy quoting football frazes and yelling at the tv. Personal foul, offsides, and so on... arms moving and waving in the appropriate manner. He has his favorite teams, COLTS being #1 and him getting chastised when he says differently. In his order - just now - it goes COLTS and then the PACKERS. That's a new one, it's usually the Eagles. I've had to convince him that we don't really like the Cowboys. He's learning. :)
My most recent petpeeve with football is watching the Steelers play. Their coach - and everytime we see them I make this comment - looks to be in his early thirties, he shouldn't be coaching he should be playing. This really bugs me.
I realize this post has a lot to do with, well, nothing. But hey, a post is a post. I will do my best to get pictures on here in the next couple days. Really, I will, maybe tomorrow.
Love to you all.
Oh ya, and Happy New Year!
GO COLTS!!!!
