Have you missed me??

Probably not, but here's the scoop!! For the first month - after my last post - I have just been ignoring the blogging world. But now my latest excuse is that my computer is sick. When it gets up and going I will be able to post some pics. But as for now, sisters, you're more then welcome to post pics of my kids on here for me. I know you have pics of them on your cameras!! ;)

So what have we been up to? Just the usual summer fun.

C-Jimmy has started coach pitch, we're currently in our 4th week. Colt is his coach this year and he absolutely loves it. (Both of them.) He's been having a good summer with his friends and cousins and just being outside. We were able to go with Gma and Gpa K to the zoo for fathers day and all the kids (mostly the older two) loved it, even though it rained the whole time. Pics to follow, eventually...

Big Sis is - shall we say - in her 4 year old stage. She's constantly trying me, the little dear. I'm greatful to have older sisters to remind me of the different "rough patches" that us children go through. She's excited to turn 4 this summer and even more excited to start preschool. She is finally enjoying water. She loves playing with all of our little neighbor kids, riding her bike (like a crazy woman!), playing house, and being entertainment for our little family. Her favorite # is 18 (random) and her current favorite song is a primary one, 'When Jesus Christ Was Baptized'. Oh ya, and she LOVES her primary teachers, Margo (who happens to be my moms best friend) and Jeniece. They're awesome!!

Little Miss Em. Oh my!! She's grown tons since my last post. She now has 7 teeth, yes 7!! All four on the top finally came in, that made for a rough month - seriuosly. She's finally back to her normal self... which is now a major mommas girl!! I'm looking for different people willing to take her for a half an hour at a time to get her used to other peeps. If you're willing, let me know!!! She's crawling all over the place, walking along the furniture, and even stands on her own... but only when she doesn't know it. Her most happy place is the bath tub, she loves it!! She'll even blow bubbles in the water. My most happy place is her four hour naps. :) She loves to be outside, crawling in the grass and up into my flower beds. I can't believe she's almost 11 months. Time goes by so fast, I miss my tiny infant but I love this fun stage she's in now.

Now that I've blabbed on I must add one more thing. Since my computer is kuh-put I need you all to leave a comment so I can find your blogs!! I've had you all on my favorites list and I'm sad to say that's no longer. :( Please comment so that I may find YOU!!

Happy July... almost, enjoy your holiday week!!

a few of my favorite things

So these are just random pictures. I love my kids, they're my true and pure form of entertainment!!

this pic:
Marley: if you double click this pic and look closely you can see her tonsils. WOW! For this reason we have our doc apt with the ENT tomorrow.
Emma: getting mad at me, she's done messing around. (I believe it was nap time.)
Corbin: don't ask. He's just always entertaining, what can I say?
What's with all of their eyes?
(and if you're wondering, i did get a good pic of them on the bed, just not posting it. ;)

LOVE these toes!! I love to "eat" and kiss them, they're my favorite snack! I love how she "hides" them when she's in her high chair.

Marley showing me her treats from the Easter Egg hung. Corbin had a fever so I didn't let him go. But what I love about this picture is her outfit. The shirt (5t) and the pants/shorts... EMMA's pants, 12 mths. Marley actually wore them when she was a year old, too. Come to find out they still fit her little waist. Oh my... Dont' forget the dress up shoes!
(deanna, these are the pants you bought Marley for Christmas)

He's just handsome, need I say more?

I love my family! These are most of the Howard grandkids (+2 greats!!). We're missing only 8, we missed those 8 a ton! This was after the egg hunt at gma and gpa's.

Look at those eyes, those teeth, that grin...
You can sorta see the blonde hair growing in on her sides. I can't wait to see what it looks like as she gets older.

see? not that bad...

If I keep her hair up out of her face you don't notice she cut it. It happened on the right side of her little face, where bangs would be, so she really didn't do that bad.... But I wouldn't tell her that.
I feel that I need to clear a few things up....
a) We keep all scissors on top of the fridge. I've been quite nervous for something like this to happen. She found a little tiny pair in Colts clipper container... it was the first she's ventured down that road.
and 2) Marley didn't even react when I spanked her. (I so don't want to appear to be a bad mom to all of you...) She only began to cry when Colt put her in time out and said she was a bad girl. I don't think she realized what she had done until that point.
And if you take a close look at her right eye brow you will notice it is still growing in.

a collection

To make me smile I took a trip down memory lane at Marleys previous "Marley-isms". To view just click the "Marley-Isms" below, I give you permission to smile and possibly laugh...
This makes me feel better, not as many as I thought. Eeshk.

Marley-ism

After the last "Marley-ism" I was sure we would have a break for a while. Not so much...
Tonight we were watching the Biggest Loser where they were getting make overs. One of the stylist had said that if you cut your hair short it actually makes you look thinner. So I was joking around, as I'm constantly wanting to do something to my hair but never quite brave enough to try new things. I told Colt that I should cut my hair short like our friend Charlotte. Then Marley jumped in on the conversation. She loves having her hair done in fun fancy ways so I asked if she wanted it short like Charlottes. She said "No! Like Daddys!" Oh my, wasn't expecting that. Though recently she's been into teasing us.
Well a second later she comes back rather pleased with herself saying that she cut her hair, this was no joke. It didn't take long for me to notice. I spanked her (not hard, but also not proud to admit) and went to see what she left in on the bathroom floor. Yes, about three inches of her hair and a pair of scissors were on the floor. She had gotten into Colts clippers and found the scissors.
On a positive note I'm pleased that she got to the scissors and not the clippers.
Her hair really isn't that bad, though it sounds like it. I could go in and have her cutting job turned into cute bangs, which I might do, though I'm not ready for bangs. Either that or just a little tapering job would work, too. So yes, it could be a lot worse but still it was not good.
No, I did not take any pictures, I didn't want to acknowledge the moment that way.
Oh Marley, Marley, Marley...

8 months

These past few months have gone by so fast! She is now a pro at sitting up and actually prefers it over laying down. She doesn't fall over much anymore and when she does she's learned to land softly... if that's possible. When she is laying down she always ends up on her tummy, turning herself in circles. This usually ends up in her yelling (yes, she yells :) because she doesn't want to be where she is. She's still eating great, not a fan of the little finger treats, though. She's got her two bottom teeth and she's acting like there's more coming in. Heaven help me!! All in all, she's doing great.
Happy 8 mths my dear baby girl!!

(love the tongue!)

(this little face reminds me of when Marley was a baby)
From the eyes down can you see who she looks like? Give up? Alright, I'll tell you.
Baby LIV!!
Ok, she might not LOOK like her but it definitely reminds me of her! ;)
Baby LIV is my sweet niece, a twin. Cute girls!!

show and tell

Corbin did very well telling his class about his sisters. I was very proud of him. He told them things that he does to help them, ways that they play together, and how much he loves them. He's the best big brother ever!

I had referred to Corbin as "Bubba" (something Marley has called him for a few years now) and Mrs. M. caught on to it and asked us about it. Here is Corbin being shy with his "at home" nick name.
